Summer Fashion Finds – What Will You Choose?

July 22, 2018 By admin Leave a Comment

Summer fashion is always the highlight of the year, what with colourful clothes, fancy attaches and the use of unique and wispy materials, summer trends always have us being swept off in some way to a fantastical dreamland of wonder and colour, and 2018 is no different at all. Check out this season’s hottest trends to get in on while they’re still here.

1980s – Back With Style

The big sleeves, the ruching, the electric and bold colours are back and better than ever. With the 80s suddenly cropping up all over the shop in both TV, film and more it’s no wonder they’re back with a vengeance in the fashion scene too. So get your hair crimper out and don some of the decade’s coolest threads. Okay, maybe not the crimper.

Colour Crusade

Primary and pastel colours are usually hot for summer, but this year we’re seeing various fashion styles coming in some of the boldest of the primaries. Violet suit jackets, royal blue trousers and more are all making their mark on the catwalk and injecting some colour into the world to go along with the hot weather. If primaries are a bit too bold for you, check out some of the pretty pastel shades that are making their mark this season too – there’s really something for everyone this summer!

Check Please!

Checks are back (or did they ever leave?), and with checkered jackets, trousers, shirts and more hitting the catwalk as well as stores everywhere now’s the time to catch this trend before it leaves the shelves. The nice thing about checks is that they’re usually popular into the autumn months as well, so you can’t really go wrong with this trend over the summer if you want something with some longevity.

Funky Fringe

Fringe is making a comeback and it’s all over everything this year! From dresses to jackets, attaches and bags fringe is a great addition to make any outfit or accessory stand out. This is a bit of a different style of fringing from that of a couple years back though – more bold, fierce and in your face these fringes are all about making the statement that the piece of cloth has been fed through a shredder. Bad? Oh, no! This is a statement that will have heads turning.

Feathery Friends

Like fringe, feathers are in this summer and are making an appearance on a number of different articles from dresses to bags, earrings and more. Feathers have always had a bit of a bohemian sentiment behind them and it’s helped their fashion longevity in a big, big way. Since bohemian styled stuff keeps coming back around every so often, feathers never really leave, so if you’re looking for a cool permanent fixture in your wardrobe, consider feathers.

Fun In Floral

Flowers are in for summer  and for good reason. So many looks can be achieved by adding a bit of floral fun on some fabric and it’s a great way to inject some life and colour into an outfit. Floral print is making a statement this season – whether it’s a light inclusion just peeking out from a collar or a full floral dress, it works this year.

So there you have some of the best fashion statements for 2018’s summer season. It’s time to get in on one or two before they’re gone!

3 Reasons Why You Should Still Wear a Watch In the Smartphone Age!

September 19, 2017 By admin Leave a Comment

These days, we always have at least one device on our person that shows the time, often more than one. With tablets, smartphones and eBook readers, it can seem like wearing a watch is a little redundant if you just want to know the time. However, watches are still a great thing to own and can be just as practical as they always were, while looking great. With some exceptionally stylish watches available for under $500, it can be easy to accessorize your look with a watch and also have access to the time just by looking at your wrist.

Here are three reasons why it is still good to wear a watch even when your phone can tell you the time:

It’s a Great Accessory

For both men and women, a good watch can be an accessory that makes a lot of difference when it comes to completing your outfit. Watches can add a sense of luxury to your evening wear, look slick and smart with your business attire, and look sporty and appealing with your sports and casual clothing. For men especially, who tend not to wear as much jewelry, watches allow them to add something they really love to their outfits that is chunky, manly and robust. A good suit simply doesn’t look complete without a classy watch.

It’s Practical for Sport

There are plenty of times, if you are an active person, when it isn’t convenient to look at your phone. If you are running, you may have your phone in an arm pocket so you can take calls and listen to music, but you may not really want to look at it for timing purposes. A watch gives you none of these problems as you can simply glance at it on your wrist. If you do water sports, a phone is even less practical, but you can get great watches that can withstand sailing, surfing, swimming, and even diving. In fact, if you like the idea of scuba diving, a diving watch is truly an essential, and many of them look so good you’ll want to wear them all the time.

Much, Much Longer Battery Life!

While the batteries in watches do die, this takes years, rather than the matter of hours a smartphone can run out of juice in if you are using it a lot. This means that by wearing a watch, you are going to be able to keep track of time even if you are on a long journey and your devices have died. Even smartwatches have batteries that last for several days, however a traditional watch will serve you well for years without needing its battery replaced.

While watches may seem unnecessary for everyday wear these days, they look great and are surprisingly convenient as an alternative to checking your phone all the time. Investing in a good watch can be a great way to enhance your outfits, too!

Trends and Fashions in Children

August 1, 2017 By admin 2 Comments

There have been some dramatic changes in the world of children’s clothing over the years. In fact, it has been impossible to really keep up with it! No longer are children just little adults and have to dress as such. In fact, a quick look at the designer kids clothes at Evolution will show you that they have their own fantastic outfits and styles to choose from now.

Today’s kids can dress in their own fashions, looking like the cutest little people, which is exactly what they are. The clothes can cover them from head to toe, as they start at socks and end at headwear. Indeed, most of us would wish we were kids again just because we want to wear all these amazing garments!

Changes in Kids’ Designs

The main reason why there have been so many changes in children’s fashion is because designers have started to think about how to create clothes. The fact that children need clothes is nothing new, of course. However, there have been some dramatic new developments, including, for instance, parents purchasing generic items and changing them with appliqués, sparkles, and other items to turn them into individual and unique items. This told designers that parents don’t simply want their children to wear clothes, they want them to look good and individual.

Of course, designer clothes for children are not necessarily new either. Designers like Gap and Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent have been designing clothes for kids for many years. However, none of these items were what you would call affordable and hence remained out of reach for the everyday parent. And this is perhaps where the greatest change has come. Suddenly, fashion houses were developed that offered this type of designer quality and style, but in a way that is affordable for everybody.

The fact that it is designer-quality is what really matters, however. Parents today are conscientious shoppers and they want the best of the best for their children. They understand that poor quality fabrics don’t just rip or tear easily, they also scratch their children’s skin, nor do they protect them from the elements. Parents demand that their kids look good and feel good at all times, and designers are responding to this.

If you have a child, these developments are hugely positive for you. It means that your child can finally look like the fantastic little individual that they are, without you have to spend all the money in their college fund to achieve it. It also means that you can shop to your heart’s content, finding the things that your child likes personally, without having to be an A-list celebrity. In fact, the best thing is that you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home anymore. All the great children’s clothing designers are now available online, an shops like Evolution Kids Emporium even bring them all together in one place for your convenience.

You Deserve A Sexy And Flattering Swimsuit

February 23, 2017 By admin Leave a Comment

Finding flattering and trendy plus size swimwear is often extremely difficult. Especially in a society that up until recently has emphasized that larger body types simply aren’t as pretty. Most stores have a very small selection of swimwear for plus size women, and the selection they do have isn’t flattering or modern. However, thanks to many new companies who believe that big is beautiful, women are now able to find swimwear to fit their body type online.

For years, models have been seen as tall and skinny, which made them pretty. However, now, many plus size women are becoming models, and showing other women that being larger is just as beautiful. People like Tess Holliday and Robyn Lawley are advocating for plus size women, and showing them that they’re beautiful just the way they are. These models often face hate from many people, but this doesn’t stop them from showing the world that any shape and size is beautiful.

Most department stores have few plus size swimsuits to choose from. Any that they do have are typically not flattering, or don’t fit quite right. Some department stores have larger selections online, but most women still are not able to find a swimsuit that fits their style and body type. For this reason, plus size model and body positive activist Ashley Graham has teamed up with online swimwear retailer swimsuitsforall to offer her own line of sexy and comfy plus size swimsuits. Her campaign is dedicated to helping women feel better about their bodies and to offering choices not normally available in sizes 8-34.

Graham’s collection offers a number of womens plus size bikini, tankini, swimdress, and skirtini options, proving that women of any size can feel beautiful at the beach this year. Thanks to plus size exclusive retail, women are finding it easier and easier to find a swimsuit for their body. Since these websites are solely for plus size people, the products are sexy, flattering, and trendy, and women will be able to find exactly what they need thanks to personalized body type calculators.

Styles that typically flatter plus sized women are ruching and high waists, which are available in spades. Ruching is cinching on one or more sections of the garment, and offers a slimming effect, while high waisted bottoms are often used on plus size swimsuits so that women can still wear a bikini, but show less midriff, which is where women often feel the most uncomfortable. No matter your swimwear preference, they have the perfect body-specific swimwear for your keen fashion sense. If you prefer a classically elegant look, high-waisted bikinis and tankinis offer coverage and sex appeal, accentuating your beautiful curves, while providing style and support.
Though society tells women that being big isn’t as beautiful, we now have voices telling us otherwise. Thanks to Ashley Graham, Robyn Lawley, Tess Holliday and others, plus size women are able to buy flattering swimwear, and feel gorgeous no matter what their body type.
