Ibiza harbour
Some holidays are all about adventure and adrenaline; others are about just having a great time. And when you’re in the mood for one of those holidays then you can’t beat a week or two in Ibiza.
Ibiza has a bit of a reputation for being a party island and it’s undoubtedly deserved! The hub for people wanting to go clubbing and dancing is San Antonio.
San Antonio is a resort that has at its centre a beautiful palm lined promenade down by the natural harbour. Named Portus Magnus by the Romans, this is one of the most beautiful harbours in Europe and is a constant hive of activity.
Ten minutes from the town centre, you’ll find the famous Sunset Strip where locals and holidaymakers alike throng at sunset to admire the spectacular sunsets that Ibiza is famous for. There are plenty of places you can order cocktails and enjoy sundowners in style.
The peak time of year for San Antonio is during the summer months of July, August and early September. This is when the bars and clubs are most packed and buzzing. There are loads of British holidaymakers at this time, but also plenty of other European nationalities with Dutch, German, Italian and Scandanavian contingents. Going in May and June and later in September and October, the resort has a bit more of a relaxed vibe to it, with fewer numbers. However, it’s still party central compared to the rest of the island.

Booking accommodation is never a problem, except for during the peak summer months, when it’s best to book ahead to make sure you get the location you want. Check out where each hotel or apartment is before you book, as you may or may not want to factor in taxi rides at the end of each night. The Central Park Apartments Ibiza are in a great central location for people on a tight budget. They’re close to the beach and the main clubbing area, so you’ll be able to walk everywhere with ease, cutting down extra holiday costs in the process.
Wherever you choose to stay, if you’re looking for a week of hedonistic fun, then San Antonio is the place to go!
