Best Shows in Vegas Right Now

September 30, 2019 By admin Leave a Comment

Las Vegas is known for many things, its gambling, its vices, its beauty, its mayhem and of course its status as the capital of live entertainment. Entertainment exists all over this great city from street performers to hotel shows not to mention the legendary acts like Elvis, Tom Jones and the Rat Pack who have graced the stages of Las Vegas. If you visit Vegas then you simply must see a live show during your time there and if you do, these are the hottest shows to check out right now.

Blanc de Blanc

Some of the best shows which have ever been seen in Las Vegas are the cabaret shows and Blanc de Blanc is a modern variation on those classic performances. The show features burlesque dancers, high flying acrobats and a little bit of naughtiness all packed in to this eventful 2 hour show. Grab tickets to Blanc de Blanc ay Sahara Las Vegas and let it all hang out for a couple of hours of fun, frisk and good times.

LOVE

The Cirque du Soleil company have really raised the bar in terms of what a live performance should be and each year they come up with new ideas and themes for their shows. The performance of LOVE is themed on the Beatles and their music and this uplifting show will leave a smile on your face for weeks. The songs are used perfectly and intertwined with sensational live performances and stunning gymnastics.

Absinthe

Originally intended as a one off performance in a  pop-up tent outside Caesar’s Palace, this show very quickly caught the public’s attention and it is now entering into its 13th year on the strip. The show is absolutely hilarious and features gymnastic feats and sideshow performers who will have you laughing off your seat. This is an intimate set up for a show which gets you close to the action, a performance which you cannot miss out on when you are in Vegas.

Cher

Over the years we have seen a great number of living legends take on residencies in many Vegas hotels, people like Elton John, Prince and Celine Dion who have lit up the night on 3 month long residencies. Currently the immaculate Cher is playing a nightly concert in Vegas and she is showing that she is just as relevant as she has always been. Amazing songs, great performances and more costume changes than you can count.

Penn & Teller

Magic has always been a popular attraction in Vegas and it is usually the entertaining Penn & Teller who have been spearheading it. Catch the magical duo as they perform death defying tricks, mind blowing illusions, carefully spliced with some good old fashioned humor and showmanship. These guys are the creme de la creme of the magic world and if you get the chance to see them during your time in Vegas, grab the opportunity with both hands.

The Essential Packing List for Your First Ever Music Festival

July 7, 2017 By admin Leave a Comment

Whether you’re going to Glastonbury or Coachella, your first music festival is going to be an amazing experience. You’ll meet hundreds of new people, make plenty of new friends, try foods from around the world, experience art installations like no other, and above all, see some of the best bands and solo artists in the world. To ensure you have a good time, you need to make sure you’ve packed all the right essentials – being sun burnt or soaked from heavy rain won’t make you enjoy the weekend away! When you’re at a festival, daily essentials can be hard to come by, so it’s always better to pack more than you need. So, make sure that you’ve got a good backpack, fitted by a professional – it’ll be heavier than you think, and you might have to carry it for quite a while, depending on where you’re camping.

Items for your normal morning routine

Whichever way you plan to spend your days and nights at a festival, you’ll want to wake up feeling fresh and ready to take on the coming day’s activities. So, try to pack everything you’d use in the mornings while at home. Toothbrush, toothpaste, moisturizer and antiperspirants are vital. As are face wipes and make-up remover – even if you don’t plan on wearing any! A mirror will also come in use, as well as all of your normal make-up items. If you wear contact lenses, don’t forget to bring plenty of solution and hand-sanitizer gel. Likewise, if you take medication on a daily basis, bring plenty of it – you never know what you might need.

Shower substitutes

If you’re at a festival, you’re going to get sweaty, muddy and covered in glitter. There’s unlikely to be many showers around (and if there are, there will be queues like no other), so you need to think up ways to substitute getting clean. Body wipes, like wet wipes, are great for a quick clean, but you might want to think about bringing a solar shower or a foldable bucket so you can have a quick douse in water! Likewise, dry shampoo is a must if you have long hair – though wearing a head scarf or bandana will cover up the worst of greasy roots.

Safety items

Try to pack a mini first aid kit: plasters (especially blister plasters) will always come in handy, as will antiseptic creams, sun lotion and after sun cream. You’ll also need a torch for venturing out of your tent at night – if you need the toilet in the early hours of the morning, you won’t want to risk climbing over guy-ropes in the dark! Here are some of the best tactical flashlights on the market, so you won’t have to worry about falling and hurting yourself.

Clean clothes

Always bring more clothes than you think you’ll need, especially when it comes to socks and underwear. If you’re heading to a festival in the UK or Europe, waterproof, comfy footwear is essential – you can’t trust the rain not to arrive. Wellington boots or walking boots are a great idea, though make sure you’ve broken them in and have the right socks. When it comes to normal clothes, pack items that are comfy and easy to move around it. Bring plenty of layers, so you’re ready for when it gets cooler at night. Don’t forget to bring any fancy dress pieces too!

What to do When You Get Sick on The Road

April 12, 2017 By admin Leave a Comment

So there you are, out on the open road having left your responsibilities behind, your head filled with excitement and adventures, plans made for experiences of a lifetime and then bang… you get ill. You can never plan for it and it will make you frustrated beyond belief but it will be important that when the worst occurs, that you take the time out to rest up, take your medicine and get yourself better as soon as possible.

Whilst being laid up may not be your idea way of spending your travel time, it is important that you keep yourself busy during this time and here are some ideas on what you can be doing whilst you are recovering.

Movie Marathon

You need to embrace the fact that there is very little that you can do in this situation other than wait for your body to fix itself. During this time why not keep yourself occupied with a monster movie marathon. Make a list of those ‘classics’ that you never got around to watching or indulge in those super long movies like Lord of the Rings now that you have the time to watch them all in full. The choice is yours but resting up and watching lots of movies will be a great way to keep you busy as you get better.

Playing Games

I really love playing games although as an adult, it feels as though there is always something more important that I should be doing. When you are resting up following an illness however, there is nothing better to do and you can button bash away to your heart’s content. You can add an adult twist to your game playing and use this time to play on casino games in the hope of winning some cash as you rest, you could even play slots at online casino site in the hope of making the best of your bad situation.

Start an Online Business

Always wanted to start your online empire? Never felt as though you had the time? Well now you have nothing but time and you have the perfect opportunity to get your online business off the ground. Making connections, arranging for jobs to be done and setting up the core structure of your business can all be done from the comfort of your bed and whilst working long hours during this time is not recommend, you can certainly use a large chunk of it to get your business together.

Sleep

The most important aspect of all during your recuperation time will be to sleep and despite how annoyed you are that you’re sick, however frustrated you are that you cannot be out and about, the most important activity that you can do during this time will be to sleep. Try to get yourself into a good sleep routine which sees you getting at least 10 hours per day as your body rests.

Getting sick on the road is no fun and nobody wants to be confined to their bed when they should be having fun, with that being said it is important that you accept it, rest and et nature take its course.
